Similar to your story, I was flying home from a work trip to Florida and had an option to get up at 4am, fly to NYC and have a long layover during which a KU game was going to be on TV. I had visions of riding a taxi into Brooklyn to watch the game with hellx, than flying home. But instead I took the opportunity to get a full night of sleep and flew home at 2:30 in the afternoon. Sigh. Next I’ll be looking forward to the early-bird special…

Anyway, I actually sat in my living room and watched the KU game on TV, uninterrupted from start to finish (due to a well-timed tip-off at the start of nap time) for the first time in years. Go KU!

So…I came really close to going to the Final Four this year. My parents had four tickets and yesterday after the win we were totally set on going with Jebus4Me. Looking at how much it would actually cost today totally sober, we all decided to skip New Orleans. It’s kind of disappointing, but none of us had any flexibility. For me, it would have meant flying into NOLA, watching the game, and flying out at 7AM on Sunday. Jebus has surgery on Monday and my mom is interviewing on Tuesday. Maybe one day, but with the new gigantic arenas for the Final Four maybe I’ll just stick to regional finals.

Who should I watch the game with? R is in Colorado doing an artist residency.

There isnt a day that goes by that i dont think about her, she was my neighbor and my friend, i spent every moment with her from the time she walked into my 3rd grade class room to the end of her life. I miss her every day, Forgiveness isnt ours to offer, he took more then just a girl away that day, and for that i dont feel should be forgiven. One thing i know, is that he might of gotten out of charges with the law but he is the one that has to think about it for the rest of his life, no sympathy from me there.
